About Dream Vision Eye Care

Leslie Poon, O.D.

Dr. Poon was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Honolulu. She has been in private practice since 1990, specializing in comprehensive eye care. She graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a BA in Biology, and attended the University of California at Berkeley School of Optometry where she received her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors. Dr. Poon is fluent in Cantonese. She and her husband have 2 children.

 

Sherilyne Tarumoto, O.D.

Dr. Tarumoto joined our team in 2008, but has been in private practice since 2001. She was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She received her BA in Biology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and her Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University College of Optometry. Dr. Tarumoto is currently a member of the Hawaii Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She is a loving wife and dedicated mother of two. Her interests include spending time with family and traveling.

 

 

 

Edgar Gonzalez

Edgar is our in–office Optician and is an original member of the Dream Vision Eye Care team. Born and raised in Southern California, he has been in Hawaii since 2005. Edgar is ABO and NCLE certified and licensed in the State of Hawaii. He is also fluent in Spanish. In his spare time, he plays drums for a local band. Edgar enjoys spending free time with his son.

 

 

 

Mayumi Masuda

Mayumi was born in Tokyo, and has permanently made Hawai‘i her home since 2010. She studied Literature in Japan, graduating from Atomi Women's University and has also studied abroad in Australia. Her interests include cooking, shopping, golfing, and enjoying a nice day at the spa.

 

 

 

 

 

Christine Owen

Christine is originally from Nothern California, having moved to Hawai‘i in 2004. She graduated from St. Andrew's Priory and is currently studying education at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. Her interests include: coaching the Junior Varsity volleyball team of her old high school, keeping active by playing sports or going to they gym, snowboarding, and relaxing in the little free time that she has left.

 

 

 

 

 

Quynh Tran

Quynh was born in Vietnam and moved to Hawai‘i with her parents when she was 4–years–old. She graduated from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa with a B.A. in Biology and a certificate in Social Sciences and Health. Her interests include shopping, watching movies, and spending time with her family and friends. She is also fluent in Vietnamese.
